Leydig cells

  1. They are polyhedral cells present adjacent to the seminiferous tubules in the testicles/ testes.
  2. They produce testosterone which is a male hormone in the presence of Luteinizing hormone (LH).
  3. They are also known as interstitial cells of Leydig.
