Cone cells:

  1. They are the photoreceptor cells present in the retina mostly found in the Fovea centralis.
  2. They are responsible for color vision and vision in bright light.
  3. There are three types of colored cone cells namely the red, green and blue cone cells responsible for color vision.
  4. They contain iodopsin, a pigment that is stimulated by bright light.
