Solution
Transpiration:
It is the process of loss of water in the form of water vapour from the aerial parts of plants, such as leaves and stems.
Transpiration in stems occurs through lenticels, but in leaves, it occurs through small pores called stomata.
Dry Cobalt chloride paper can be used to demonstrate transpiration.
This turns from blue to pink when placed on a transpiring leaf.
This can also be used to demonstrate the difference in rates of transpiration in different plants and also the upper and lower surface of the dicot leaf.
The paper which is used to show the loss of water through the stomata of a leaf is the dry cobalt chloride paper.
