Solution

The correct option is A Anaphase I
During anaphase I, homologous chromosome separate and sister chromatids remain associated at their centromeres. This results in the reduction of the number of chromosomes to half of the parent cell. Whereas, during anaphase II the sister chromatids separate at the centromere and the daughter chromosomes move towards the opposite poles, resulting in an equal number of chromosomes in daughter cells.
