The two kinds of waste are - Biodegradable waste and non-biodegradable waste. The biodegradable waste is easily converted into simpler forms with the help of microbes and is used as manure. Whereas, non-biodegradable wastes cannot be converted into simpler forms but can be recycled. This is why these should be separated.
