Solution

Nutrients digested only by ruminants:
  1. The organisms containing the large sac-like stomach called rumen are called ruminant animals.
  2. The ruminant stomach can digest cellulose due to the presence of the cellulose digesting bacteria along with the presence of enzyme cellulase.
  3. This type of digestion mainly occurs in herbivores which feeds on plants containing cellulose to derive their nutrients.
  4. Humans are not able to digest cellulose due to the absence of the cellulase enzyme or the bacteria that can digest these components.
