(a) Parenchyma tissue-

  1. Parenchyma tissue forms the other covering of the stem, roots, and leaves thus also called epidermis or protective tissue.

(b) Vascular tissue -

  1. Petiole helps in the attachment of leaf to stem by the nodes that are connected to the petioles.
  2. The petiole of the leaf contains vascular tissue.
