Solution

(i) (1,2),(1,0),(1,2),(3,0)

|AB|=(1+1)2+(0+2)2=22

|BC|=(1+1)2+(02)2=22

|DC|=(3+1)2+(02)2=22

|AD|=(3+1)2+(0+2)2=22

Slope of AB=0+21+1=1=m1

Slope of AD=0+23+1=1=m2

m1m2=1 & AB=BC=DC=AD

ABCD is a square

(ii) (3,5),(3,1),(0,3),(0,3),(1,4)

|PQ|=(3+3)2+(15)2=52

|QP|=(30)2+(13)2=13

|RS|=(a+1)2+(3+4)2=50

|PS|=(5+4)2+(3+1)2=85

it is simple quadrilateral

(iii) (4,5),(7,6),(4,3),(1,2)

|MN|=(74)2+(65)2=10

|NO|=74)2+(63)2=18

|OP|=(41)2+(32)2=10

|PM|=(41)2+(52)2=18

Slope of MN=6574=13

Slope of MP=5241=1

MN=OP & NO=PM

it is a parallelogram
