  • White blood corpuscles are also known as leukocytes or white corpuscles.
  • These white blood corpuscles lack hemoglobin, so they are white. (hemoglobin - Red color pigment present in RBC)
  • White blood corpuscles prevent the body from infection.
  • The white blood cells defend our body system completely, just like bodyguards.

Types of blood corpuscles:

  • Corpuscles are any red or white cells that are present in the blood.
  • Granulocytes, lymphocytes ( T cells and B cells ), and monocytes are the different types of white blood corpuscles.
  • Granulocytes include basophils, neutrophils, and eosinophils.
