Dear Student
A simple permanent tissue is defined as a tissue consisting of a single type of cells and which do not have the ability to divide. There are three types of simple permanent tissues in plants, which are;
1) Parenchyma tissue
It consists of loosely packed cells which are cube shaped or elongated. They have a large vacuole and thin cell wall. So it forms the non-woody, fleshy and flexible plants of the plant.
2) Collenchyma tissue
These cells have thicker cell walls than parenchyma and support the growing part of the plant.
3) Sclerenchyma tissue
These have a very thick and rigid cell wall and support the non growing parts of the plant.
