Neutrophils

  1. These are type of WBCs having granules in their cytoplasm so they are classified under granulocytes.
  2. They form about 70% of total leucocytes.
  3. Granules present in their cytoplasm can be stained by either dyes(acidic, basic or neutral).
  4. Nucleus in these cell is multilobed i.e. may have 3 to 5 lobes.
  5. .They destroy bacteria and virus by phagocytosis.
