2. Dendrites:

1. These are short branches coming out from the cell body
2. They play a role in carrying impulses from other neurons towards the cell body.

3. Axon:

1. It is a long protoplasmic fiber coming out from the cell body.
2. Axons carry the impulses away from the cell body.
