Solution

The Circulatory System

The circulatory system is the organ system that involves various organs that carries all the essential minerals, nutrients, and oxygen with the body fluids. This system includes various organs and tissues that are blood, the heart, the blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and lymph.

Body fluids are fluids with a large part made up of water that circulates or moves throughout the body and connects various tissues and organs. The two major body fluids are as follows:

  1. Blood — It is made up of two main components blood cells(RBC, WBC, platelets) and the other is plasma. It plays different functions such as fighting infections, delivering oxygen and carbon dioxide, and others.
  2. Lymph — It is similar in composition of blood plasma, it has leukocytes that fight infection and carries through lymphatic vessels that comprise the lymphatic system. It is a collection of extracellular fluid that leaks out from the tissues and cells.
