Name two classes of angiosperms based on the number of cotyledons.

Based on the presence of no. of cotyledon, angiosperms are divided into two classes. The classes monocotyledons and dicotyledons. The dicotyledonous angiosperms have two cotyledons in their seeds and the monocotyledonous angiosperms have one cotyledon.
Examples of dicots include grains such as rice, wheat and millet etc. Examples of monots include banana, onion, lilies, ginger, palm etc.
