Dear student,The two different ways in which glucose is oxidised in various organisms are:1) Anaerobic Respiration:In this type of respiration, firstly the glucose is broken down into a three carbon compound known as pyruvate in the cytoplasm of the cell. This pyruvate is than converted into ethanol and carbon dioxide with the production of little amount of energy. This type of respiration generally occurs in organisms like yeast. 2)Aerobic Respiration:In this type of respiration the glucose is broken down into pyruvate in the cytoplasm of cell and than the pyruvate is converted into carbon dioxide and water with the release of large amount of energy. This type of respiration occurs in humans.Regards
