Name two figures that have both line symmetry and rotational symmetry.

A figure is having a line of symmetry if in that figure there exists a line that divides the figure into two equal halves. Also the number of positions in which a figure can be rotated and still look exactly as it was before the rotation is called its order of symmetry.

Finding the first figure:

From the figure below we can see that ‘8’ is having a line of symmetry AB

Also ‘8’ has rotational symmetry as shown below:

Finding the second figure:

From the figure below we can see that ‘H’ is having a line of symmetry AB

Also ‘8’ has rotational symmetry as shown below:

Hence, ‘H’ and ‘8’ are the two figures that have both line symmetry and rotational symmetry.
