The two poverty alleviation programs are:

1. Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojna - It aims to generate wage employment for unemployed rural people in India. This program is implemented by Gram Panchayat.

2. National Old Age pension scheme - This scheme provides pension to old people who are above 60 years of age and do not have any means of subsistence. The pension is given by the Central Government. The state government also contributes in this scheme.
