Bulk transport is of two types:

1. Exocytosis: It is the process of expulsion of materials from the cell with the help of a carrier vesicle called an exocytotic vesicle.
2. Endocytosis: It is a process whereby the cells absorb materials such as proteins from outside by engulfing them.
