Nasreen bought 3 m 20 cm cloth for her shirt and 2 m 5 cm cloth for her trouser. Find the total length of cloth bought by her.

We know that 100 cm = 1 m

$\therefore 1cm=\frac{1}{100}m$

$3m20cm=3m+20cm=3m+1cm\times 20=3m+\frac{1}{100}m\times 20=3m+0.20m=3.20m$

$2m5cm=2m+5cm=2m+1cm\times 5=2m+\frac{1}{100}m\times 5=2m+0.05m=2.05m$

Cloth bought for shirt = 3 m 20 cm = 3.20 m
Cloth bought for trouser = 2 m 5 cm = 2.05 m
