Section III of Golden Quadrilateral is a 1290 km stretch from Chennai to Mumbai. It constitutes parts of NH4 from Mumbai to Bangalore, NH7 from Bangalore to Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu and NH46 from Krishnagiri to nearby Chennai. It passes through Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Corridor Project is the largest ongoing highway project in India. It is the second phase of the National Highways Development Project, and consists of building 7300 kilometers of four to six lane expressways connecting Srinagar, Kanyakumari, Porbandar and Silchar. It includes NH7 in North-South corridor.
