There is acute scarcity of water because out of the 75 percent water present, just 3 percent of water is fresh and 97 percent of water is saline present in the oceans and seas. Out of 3 percent of freshwater , 1 percent is in the form of ice and snow at glaciers and mountains. Also, people waste water and overuse which causes scarcity of water.
