Length of ribbon tht Neelima has = 10 m = 10 × 100 cm
= 1000 cm
Length of 1 piece of ribbon = 2 m 80 cm
(1 meter = 100 cm)
Length of 1 piece of ribbon = 2 × 100 cm + 80 cm = 280 cm
Length of 3 pieces of ribbon = 3 × 280 cm = 840 cm
Length of the ribbon in 4 pieces = 4 × 280 cm = 1120 cm

1120 cm is more than 1000 cm.

So, She may cut 3 equal pieces of 2 m 80 cm from the ribbon.
