Neetu goes 35 km towards east from a point P to point Q. From Q, she moves 45 km towards west along the same road. If the distance towards east is represented by a positive integer then, how will you represent the distance travelled towards west? By which integer will you represent her final position from P?

It can be taken as 0.

Neetu goes towards east 35km
It can be taken as +35.

Neetu moves towards west 45km
It can be taken as -45.

Distance between initial point and final point = 10 km towards west

It can be taken as -10.

So the final position of Neetu is represented by an integer -10.
