[]+[]+[]+[]+85=7

[]+[]+[]+[]+85×5=7×5
(multiplying 5 in both sides)

[]+[]+[]+[]+8=35

​​​​​​​[]+[]+[]+[]+88=358
(substracting 8 from both sides)

​​​​​​​[]+[]+[]+[]=27

Need to find: Actual mean of the data set {[],[],[],[],3}, i.e.,

[]+[]+[]+[]+35

=27+35([]+[]+[]+[]=27)

=305=6

The actual mean of the data set is 6.
