For an LCR circuit,
Inductive reactance: $X_{L} = 2 π f L = ω L$
Capacitive reactance: $X_{C} = \frac{1}{2 π f C} = \frac{1}{ω C}$
Total circuit reactance; $X_{T} = X_{L} - X_{C}$
Total circuit impedence: $Z = \sqrt{R^{2} + X_{T}^{2}}$
$Z = R + j X$
