The correct option is A (i) and (ii)
New species formation can not result if the genetic material is unchanged. Usually the genetic material gives rise to similar species through mating in sexually reproducing organisms. If genetic material undergoes significant changes in the germ cells which gives rise to gametes of an individual then mating will give rise to different species than original. If there is a major deletion, duplication or missing chromosomes in the germ cell, the genetic material is changed and so is its expression. Thus, it may give rise to new species than original. Hence, answer A is correct.
