In 1865 Newland classified 56 elements that had been discovered at that time. He classified elements in the order of eight i.e., first and the eighth element will have a similar properties like a musical note. This law is termed as “Law of octaves” . To follow the law of octave he adjusted the two dissimilar elements in a single block. Ex Cobalt and chlorine.
