Solution
Law of octaves:-
English scientist John Newlands has arranged the elements in the increasing manner of the atomic masses which will start from the Hydrogen having the lowest atomic mass to that of the element which is named as.
After arranging the elements, it was observed that every eighth element will possess properties that would be similar to that of the first. (For example Sodium is the eighth element as after Lithium possessing the properties that would be similar to one another)
In these octaves, the noble gases were missing as such these elements were not known at that time.
As if the noble gases are included in the Newland's octaves, then the elements will not fit the musical scale with the eighth note resembling the first one.
Therefore, Newland's classification of elements did not include noble gases.
