Solution

Actually newtons has given 3 laws of motion the condition of stoping of books can be explained by Newton 3 rd law of motion that is for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction when you push your book this is action and the opposing reaction is frictional force which tends to oppose moving force and book stops this frictional force is the external force which mentioned in Newtown 1st law.
