Question

Newton's third law says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.this means that the force applied by sun on Earth and by Earth on sun will be equal.then why does sun does not revolve around Earth?why Earth revolves around sun?

Solution

Its not like that..
Newtons third law has nothing to do in the revolution of sun and earth

Newton law states that if we apply a force on object,it apply a counter force on us,

Incase of sun and earth, the sun apply gravitational force (pulling force)on earth. Earth also apply a counter force so that earth stay in its position. this gravitational pull can be related to newton law

The revolution of sum and earth is related with some other concept like centre of mass.

Technically, what is going on is that the Earth, Sun and all the planets are orbiting around the center of mass of the solar system. This is actually how planets orbiting other stars are often detected, by searching for the motion of the stars they orbit that is caused by the fact that the star is orbiting the center of mass of the system, causing it to wobble on the sky.

The center of mass of our solar system very close to the Sun
