Newton's Third Law states that every action has an equal an opposite reaction.
If a massive truck is parked along the roadside, it will probably not move. A student justifies this by answering that the two opposite and equal force cancel each other. Comment on this statement. [3 MARKS]

Reason out: 3 Marks

The logic of the student is completely wrong because the truck is going to move only due to the unbalanced force. However, the force produced by the reaction of earth is insufficient to overcome the force of friction offered by the wheels of the truck and hence, it does not move.
