Nichrome and copper wires of same length and same radius are connected in series. Current I is passed through them.Which wire gets heated up more ? Justify your answer.

Nichrome and chromium wires are connected in series. So current will be the same in both wires.

Now Heat $=i^{2}RtR=\frac{Pl}{A}$

$l$ and A are same for both wires and Resistivity of Nichrome > Resistivity of copper .So $R_{nichrome}>R_{copper}$ So heat generated in nichrome will be more
