(a) Business and Society/public : Business should work for the economic and social well-being of the community. The responsibility of business towards the society are as follows :

(i) Maximum utilisation of natural resources.

(ii) To provide maximum employment opportunities.

(iii) To preserve social and cultural values.

(iv) To uplift the weaker section of the society.

(v) Work towards the upliftment of democratic institutions and national integration.

(vi) To provide assistance to hospitals, educational institutions, and so on.

(vii) To protect the environment from all sources of pollution.

(b) Towards employees

(i) To provide job security and fair and regular wages/salaries.

(ii) To provide good and safe working conditions.

(iii) To provide opportunities for education and self-development.

(iv) To provide welfare facilities such as medical care, social security.

(v) To develop a sense of belonging and dignity of labour.

(vi) To protect trade union rights and right of participation in management.
