Nikhil spent 5% of his monthly income on his children's education, invested 14% in shares, deposited 3% in a bank and used 40% for his daily expenses. He was left with a balance of Rs.19,000. What was his income that month?

Total Expenditure in %=5+14+3+40=62%


The percentage of balance left =10062=38%

As per question, 38% of salary is equal to 19000

38100×x=19000 [Let income be x.]

38x=1900000

x=190000038

x=50,000

So the income of that man was Rs.50,000 that month.
