Solution

The correct option is B 0.33m
d1t1Xt2d2=M2M1XP1P2

Time of diffusion for both is same in the tube so,t1 = t2

M1 =30, M2 = 16, d1 = a, d2=(1-a), P1=2 , P2=1

a(1a)=1630X21

a(1a)=2.13=1.46

a=0.6m

(1a)=0.4m

Hence the answer is 0.40.33m
