Nitrogen is used for which of the following purposes:
Nitrogen is used by plants, trees and other organisms present in the soil. Nitrogen present in the environment can't be used directly by plants, so it's supplied in the form of fertilizer.
Nitrogen gas is used to pack and preserve food. You've probably seen your chips packet get deflated once you open it. That's because it was filled with nitrogen to keep the chips fresh.
It is also used to inflate the tires of vehicles. Next time you see a tire getting inflated at a petrol pump, remember that it's nitrogen!
Compressed nitrogen can also be used as a refrigerant.
