Most fuels we use are non-metals. Examples include wood, coal, products derived from petroleum (such as gasoline), etc.

Almost all fuels are non-metals. Hydrogen, Helium which non-metals can be used as fuels. All currently available fuels which are mostly carbon compounds ranging from Ethane to Butane.

Liquid hydrogen is the non metal used in the rockets.
