Non-metals are usually poor conductors of heat and electricity. They are non-lustrous, non-sonorous, non-malleable and coloured. Name a nonmetal which exists as a liquid at room temperature.

The physical state of non-metal:-

  1. Non-metals having low melting as well as the boiling points, also exist only in the two of the three physical states at room temperature.
  2. Generally, at room temperature, the non-metals exist in gases (Example:- Oxygen) and in the solid-state (Example:- Carbon)
  3. Bromine (Br) is actually a non-metal in which there is the presence of the intermolecular forces which are strong and will not let evaporation happen.

Therefore, a non-metal which exists as a liquid at room temperature is bromine (Br).
