Sucrose is common table sugar. It is a disaccharide formed by glycosidic bond between glucose and fructose. Carbon atoms numbered one of glucose and two of fructose are used up in glycosidic bond formation.
As these carbon atoms are carbonyl carbons in glucose and fructose respectively. The molecule of sucrose does not has any free carbonyl carbon which can be oxidised, hence this sugar is a non reducing sugar.
