Solution

The correct option is C Present in very little amount
Each mature sperm consists of a head, midpiece, and flagellum.
The head consists almost entirely of the nucleus. Part of the nucleus is covered by the acrosome, a vesicle that differentiates from the Golgi complex. The acrosome contains proteins, including enzymes, that help the sperm penetrate the egg.
Mitochondria, located in the midpiece of the sperm, provide the energy for movement of the flagellum. The sperm flagellum has the typical eukaryotic 9 plus 2 arrangement of microtubules. During its development, most of the sperm cytoplasm is discarded and is phagocytosed by the large Sertoli cells, that ring the fluid-filled lumen of the seminiferous tubule. These cells provide nutrients for the developing sperm cells. Sertoli cells also secrete hormones and other signaling molecules.
