India is a vast country. which lies in Northern hemisphere. The mainland extends between latitudes 8°4’N and 37°6’N and longitudes 68°7’E and 97°25’E. The Tropic of Cancer (23° 30’N) passes in between dividing the country into two equal halves. To the southeast in Bay of Bengal, lies the group of islands , that is, Andaman and Nicobar islands . The Lakshadweep lies in the South west in Arabian Sea.
