Step 1 : Check whether the connection is series or parallel
Given : Three bulbs 100W each are connected once in series (Case 1) and once in parallel (Case 2)
In case 1 bulbs are connected in series so, if any of the bulbs fuses the circuit breaks and no current will flow through it. Hence no bulb will glow.
Whereas, in case 2 the bulbs are connected parallel, if any of the bulb fuses the other bulbs work properly as current now flows through the other branches of the circuit.
