Nuclear power plants can cause soil pollution.
True
Soil is one of the most endangered component of our environment due to various pollutants arising from nuclear, industrial and agricultural sources. Trace elements in soil are very important for the quality of soil and environment but the excessive level of trace elements can cause pollution of water, toxicity in plants, food and ultimately in animals and humans that feed upon them. Non-biodegradable materials and radioactive wastes from nuclear power plants buried deep inside the soil also cause soil pollution.
