Solution

The correct option is A 160 bp of DNA
The eukaryotic chromosomal DNA is coiled with the help of histone proteins. This structure is assembled into regularly spaced nucleosomes. This coiled structure helps in the packaging of the DNA in the nucleus. The nucleosome contains the octamer of the histone proteins H2A, H2B, H3 and H4. The nucleosome contains ∼160 bp of DNA which is wrapped about ∼1.7 times around a central core histone octamer. The H1 histone is known as the linker histone which binds both to the nucleosome and seals the DNA coils.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
