Let the number of boys be x.
No of girls =x8
Given, the ratio of boys and girls in the class =7:5
xx8=75
5x=7(x8)
5x=7x56
2x=56
x=28
Thus, number of boys in the class =x=28
number of girls in the class =x8=288=20
Therefore, the total strength of the class =20+28=48
