Given equation of ellipse is
x2169+y225=1
Equation of normal at the point (13cosθ,5sinθ) is
13xcosθ5ysinθ=144
If it passes through (0,6), then
15+72sinθ=0
sinθ=524
two values of theta [0,2π] for which sinθ=524
and x=0 will also pass through (0,6)
Hence, three normals can be drawn from (0,6).
