Five nuclei are involved in double fertilization. Double fertilization is the process involving syngamy and triple fusion.
Syngamy is the fusion of one male gamete( haploid) with a haploid female gamete forming a diploid zygote. Triple fusion is the fusion of a diploid secondary nucleus (2 polar nuclei) and male gamete.
