In scientific notation , the number is expressed as a product of a digit and power of 10. So, whenever we increase any exponent by 1 , it gets increased by a product of 10. For example: $3\times {10}^2=300$ , if we increase exponent by 1 it becomes $3\times {10}^3=3000$.
