The correct option is B 3πcm
Let the length of side of square be xcm
Area of square =(side)2=x2
Diameter of circle is 4cm then,
Radius (r)=2cm
Area of sector of circle =θ360o×πr2
=90o360o×π(2)2 [ Since, angle of a square =θ=90o ]
=14×4π

=πcm2

Area of shaded part =πcm2

According to the question,

Shaded area =13× Area of a square.

π=13x2

3π=x2

x=3πcm

The length of side of square is x=3πcm
