Observe the diagram given as Figure 1.1 and label the following terms given in the box.
The given figure is that of a stoma (plural stomata). Stomata are tiny openings or pores that are used for gaseous exchange. They are mostly found on the under-surface of plant leaves. These pores are surrounded by guard cells. Air enters the plant through these stomatal openings. The carbon dioxide from the air is taken through these tiny pores to carry out the process called photosynthesis.
